PSLE Student Workshop (Science)

Transform their PSLE preparation journey into a fun yet effective experience with Marshall Cavendish Education. This series of workshops for P5 & P6 children is conducted by experienced trainers who will guide your children to take charge of their learning and emerge as confident learners with critical thinking skills to conquer the various PSLE papers.

In this 2-part series workshop, students will learn:

  • How to study smart, not hard 
    • Learn how to take notes from lessons, tests and assignments to aid revision
    • Once bitten, twice shy -- how to avoid repeating the same old mistakes
    • How to use assessment books and studying guides effectively

  • Preparing for non-routine questions 
    • How to spot possible non-routine scenarios
    • How to predict possible questions
    • techniques to answering science process skills questions
      • questions on "experimental aim", "hypothesis", "steps", "observation", "analysis" and "conclusion
      • questions on the differences among experimental "accuracy", "fairness", "consistency" and "reliability"
      • how to explain with strong reasoning
  • Exam tactics 
    • Time management for each section and the questions
    • How to start on questions that you are absolutely clueless about
    • Using highlighters and pencil marks to aid in question understanding and answering 
    • Using the right keywords and phrases for your answers

1. Please note that the workshop will be conducted over 2 weekdays, 14 & 15 June 2017.
