Stretching Your Child's Mathematical Abilities

Date : 24 Jun 2017     |     Venue : Times Centre

Fees : Parents : $85

Often, children who are extremely good in mathematics may be disengaged during maths lessons. What can be done to ensure that these advanced learners see the relevance in learning mathematics and continue to be enthusiastic in learning?

Enrichment (deepening understanding), extension (going beyond what is taught) and differentiation (varying tasks by level of understanding) are three ways to re-engage them. Which methods would you use, and when should you use them?

The following topics will be covered during the workshop:

  • What is the definition of "advanced learners"
  • Strategies to extend learning for advanced learners
  • How to deepen learning and understanding for advanced learners
  • How to strengthen mathematical reasoning and communication

Marshall Cavendish Education reserves the right to amend the programme outline of the workshop. Terms and conditions apply.
