What is Physical Distancing? 

Importance of Physical Distancing. 

1. To prevent transmission of disease from person to
   person.
2.  Anyone who appears to be healthy could be infected as the symptoms generally take 2 to 14 days to appear. Infected individuals can be contagious even before symptoms appear.
3. More contagious than other viruses. Based on the reproduction number of 2 to 2.6, each COVID-19 case on average infects about 2 to 3 individuals.
4. To keep a safe distance from an infected individual as a droplet
   from a cough or sneeze can travel from 1 m to 1.8 m.

Examples of Social Distancing

Community

1. Avoid crowded places.
2. Keep at least 1m radius from the next person.
3. Consider gathering through digital solutions.

Workplace 

1. Teleconference and work from home whenever possible.
2. Where working from home is not possible, consider:
   • Staggering working hours.
   • Creating space between work stations.
   • Limiting number of attendees per meeting.
   • Reducing proximity and duration of physical interactions
