About the Conference

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has had a major impact in education. When ChatGPT was first launched in November 2022, it took the world by storm and disrupted the education industry. With more than 100 million users, ChatGPT has become a new tool for teaching and learning such as improving learner’s writing proficiency.

AI has the potential to address the challenges in education and innovate learning and teaching practices. Educators and learners should embrace AI as a technology to create personalised learning experiences.

The vision for AI in Education is where both machines and educators can work together to drive better outcomes for students. As learners will eventually use AI, it is important that they build understanding through exposure. So, how can AI drive innovation to transform education?

At the MCE Global Conference, we will explore:

Our Speakers

Dr. Ho Boon Tiong

Dr. Ho Boon Tiong is the author of our MCE Cambridge IGCSE™ Physics series and co-writer of the popular MCE Physics Matters series. He is currently a Principal Consultant Educationist of Classpoint Consulting, an educational training and consulting firm. To date, he has conducted numerous workshops for schools and presented in many seminars and local and international conferences. He holds a Master of Education specialising in effective school research and management, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in the field of science teacher education, particularly in the domain of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK).

Ms.Liu Yueh Mei

Liu Yueh Mei is an experienced educator, teacher trainer and coach in curriculum studies, pedagogy and assessment. She holds a Master in Education (MEd) with NIE/NTU, Singapore and a Master of Arts in Education (MA) with Stanford University, USA. She served almost 15 years with MOE as Head of the Math Department in schools as well as in MOE HQ as a Curriculum Planner and Developer. During her time with MOE HQ, she was involved in curriculum designs and reviews, pedagogy and assessment policies, and developers of the Singapore Math Framework and Curriculum.
