Kazakhstan Teacher Visit

Summary

Over the past three years, MCE has closely collaborated with educators and students from Kazakhstan in its strategic vision of positioning the country as a regional educational and academic hub in Central Asia. A key factor would be to enhance international confidence in Kazakhstan’s qualifications framework and recognition mechanisms.

Challenge

This journey begins with finding the right network of resources and curricula that ensures students are equipped with the skills necessary for the digital age. The education ministry examines the best platforms and solutions that would elevate its schools to build confidence for the international community.

Solution

MCE has delivered valuable training for educators, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programmes. Additionally, MCE have designed multi-sensory learning experiences for teachers. They have toured various institutions, such as Singapore’s tertiary institutions, to gain insights into the curriculum, functions, and operations. Furthermore, they explored several historical educational museums to learn about the evolution of Singapore’s education system

Impact

These experiences have not only broadened academic horizons but also enriched their cultural understanding and global awareness. By engaging with diverse learning environments and gaining firsthand experience with Singapore’s educational innovations, both educators and students from Kazakhstan have been able to bring back invaluable insights to their own classrooms. Our commitment to fostering international collaboration doesn’t stop there. MCE have been actively working to implement digital learning solutions that align with Kazakhstan’s educational goals, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills necessary for the digital age.

On August 16, 2024, Mr. Siew Peng Yim, CEO of Times Publishing Group, took part in Digital Kazakhstan, where he contributed to a plenary session focused on MCE and Singapore’s digital transformation in the education sector.
