Marshall Cavendish Education, in collaboration with Learners’ Connections Pte Ltd, proudly presents two of the most anticipated Mathematics competitions of the year—

the 5th Visual-Spatial Mathlympics 2026 and the 19th Annual Mathlympics 2026

open to all Singapore Primary Schools!

The 2026 editions of the Mathlympics competitions are set to ignite curiosity, unleash potential, and fuel a lifelong passion for Mathematics. As we gear up to spotlight Singapore’s brightest young talents, we’re excited to inspire a new generation of confident, curious, and capable learners.

5th Visual-Spatial Mathlympics 2026

The 5th Visual-Spatial Mathlympics 2026 is a concept competition featuring carefully curated questions centered around the theme of Visual-Spatial Intelligence and Mathematics.

Designed to challenge and inspire, the competition aims to nurture a new generation of students who excel in spatial literacy – equipping them with the ability to think spatially, solve problems effectively, and apply appropriate processes of spatial reasoning to real-world challenges.

Duration: 1.5 hours
Mode: Single Round, Written Paper
All participants will attempt the same paper, irrespective of grade level.
*Calculators may NOT be used
Format: 25 Questions Total
Section A: Multiple Choice Questions

Questions 1 to 5 (2 marks each)
Section B: Short Answer Questions

Questions 6 to 10 (3 marks each)
Questions 11 to 15 (4 marks each)
Questions 16 to 20 (5 marks each)
Questions 21 to 25 (6 marks each)

This competition is a high-stake competition because its certificate has implications for placement into schools. As such, on the reverse side of our Certificate, we will indicate salient information that reflects the competition’s rigour, such as the total number of participants for the year; number of participating schools and the criteria for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

School Prizes
School Trophies and prizes are given in recognition of the support, training and encouragement that they had given to their school pupils. Schools with the highest number of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, in that order, will receive the following trophies and vouchers:
Champion SchoolVoucher, 1 trophy for the school and the Challenge Trophy
*The Champion School shall keep the Challenge Trophy and shall return it to Learners’ Connections Pte Ltd for the next competition. The Challenge Trophy shall be kept permanently by the school which emerges champion in three consecutive years.
1st Runner-UpVoucher and 1 trophy for the school
2nd Runner-UpVoucher and 1 trophy for the school
School DistinctionSubsequent two schools with the highest medal count will receive a School Distinction Trophy
Participant Prizes
Medals and Certificates will be awarded to participants in:
Gold Distinction Award The top 10 positions.
Gold AwardThe next 5% of the participants.
Silver AwardThe next 7.5% of the participants.
Bronze AwardThe next 12.5% of the participants.
Certificates of ParticipationWill be awarded to all remaining participants.
Individual Prizes
Personal size trophies will be awarded to participants with Gold Distinction.

The Combined Mathlympics Competitions Awards Ceremony will be held on 29 August 2026.
At this Ceremony, School Trophies and Individual Personal trophies for Gold Distinction Awards for both the Visual-Spatial Mathlympics and the Annual Mathlympics will be presented. A donation will also be presented to a representative from KK Women's and Children's Hospital and SingHealth Duke-NUS.

19th Annual Mathlympics 2026

The 19th Annual Mathlympics 2026 is a one-of-a-kind competition inspired by the spirit of athletics, featuring two exciting segments.

  • The Vault segment presents complex and challenging questions designed to test the mathematical expertise and problem-solving skills of our Mathlympians.
  • The Sprint segment is a thrilling speed round where our Mathlympians race against the clock to solve as many questions as possible with precision and speed.

Together, these segments combine to create an exhilarating showcase of mathematical talent and determination!

FAQ

Are calculators allowed?

No, calculators may NOT be used.

How will marks be awarded?

Marks will be awarded for correct answers only.
There will be no deduction of marks for wrong answers or omitted questions.
All decisions made by the organizers and judges will be final.

Donation

As we have done so in the past years since 2021, we will continue to donate a percentage of our proceeds from the two Mathlympics towards the support of children battling with cancer through SingHealth Duke-NUS Paediatric Academic Clinical Programme – CCF-Psychosocial and Supportive Care for Paediatric Oncology Programme.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Marshall Cavendish Education and Learners' Connections Pte Ltd are joint organisers of the 5th Visual-Spatial Mathlympics 2026 and 19th Annual Mathlympics 2026.
  2. All information shared to us will follow Marshall Cavendish Education's data protection and privacy statements.
  3. Winners will be informed via email or social media messenger depending on the information given.
  4. Winners will be selected by the Organiser's panel of judges and the decision is final.
  5. The prize is as stated and is non-transferable and not-for-sale. If due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, the Organiser is unable to provide the stated prize or any part thereof, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value, to be determined at the Organisers’ sole discretion.
  6. Late submission will be automatically void.
  7. The registration / competition fee is non-refundable or exchangeable for products or services.
  8. The Organiser reserves the rights to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
