15th Dec 2022, Philippines – Marshall Cavendish Education’s corporate social initiative to bring the joy of learning to underprivileged children in the Philippines is finally complete. In June, MCE launched a month-long campaign that harnessed social media to uncover stories on what the joy of learning means to individuals across Southeast Asia. Many people shared their stories and as a result, over 3,000 books have been donated to World Vision’s Area Programmes in Cebu, Bohol, as well as World Vision’s Urban Development Project (UDP) in Mandaue.

The 2,000 beneficiaries in Cebu were from Liloan Central School, Tubigan Elementary School, Jubay Elementary School, Sogod Central Elementary School, and Tabogon Central Elementary School.

The 500 beneficiaries in Bohol were from Bagumabayan Elementary School.

And finally, the 800 beneficiaries in Mandaue were from mobile learn and play hubs in barangay Mantuyoung and Umapad.
