Marshall Cavendish Education and the Scientific–Practical Centre for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment have formed a partnership to administer entrance examinations for specialised schools in the Republic of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Marshall Cavendish Education (MCE) and the Scientific-Practical Center for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment under the Agency of Specialised Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan announce a strategic partnership focused on the development and administration of entrance examinations for the country’s specialised schools.
The goal of this partnership is the joint development and validation of high-quality entrance assessments for students entering Grades 5 and 7, aligned with both the national curriculum and international standards. A key focus of the collaboration is also the capacity building of center specialists by strengthening their competencies in the design of assessment tools.
As part of this cooperation, a team of MCE experts conducted a 30-hour training in Singapore for selected Uzbek specialists, covering assessment principles based on Singapore’s experience and an analysis of current testing practices in Uzbekistan. In the next phase, both parties will co-develop the examination materials, with the results of the entrance assessments expected to be announced in July 2025.
Marshall Cavendish Education began its work in Uzbekistan in 2024, focusing on the professional development of Mathematics and Science teachers, as well as the implementation of its educational resources.
“This evolving partnership enables MCE to go beyond individual solutions and contribute to the systemic advancement of education in Uzbekistan. We have gained valuable insights into the country’s potential and its commitment to preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century,” said Ms. Joy Tan, Deputy Head of Education at MCE.
