Singapore – Marshall Cavendish Education (MCE) makes its global mark as the Singapore education company expands its reach to over 100 countries worldwide. As it celebrates its 57th anniversary in 2025, MCE celebrates its milestone of training over 10,000 teachers globally, with the support of local veteran educators. MCE is set to launch more initiatives to support teachers beyond the classroom amid a global teacher shortage. Its global annual conference series is set to begin in the last quarter of 2025, bringing forward the topic of ‘Growth Mindset’.
In the past 14 months, MCE has worked with governments across Central Asia to break the stigma of deviating from the standard classroom experience and introduce key changes in curricula. MCE’s education resources have been implemented throughout schools across countries such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. A team of Singapore-trained veteran educators conducted MCE’s ‘Train-the-Trainer’ and other professional development programmes to introduce key educational strategies to local teachers. The programmes addressed key educational gaps, supported teachers in key changes and highlighted key learnings from the Singapore education system.
The Global Report on Teachers by UNESCO revealed a future distressing need for 44 million primary and secondary teachers worldwide by 2030. This includes both developing and high-income countries and territories. As Singapore is set to introduce more rising technologies such as AI in the workforce, MCE is also focused on working with partners and governments to implement AI and digital solutions that will equip teachers with the data and capabilities to provide better classroom interventions and prepare teachers for future working environments.
MCE is set to begin its new global conference tour across 11 countries and 16 cities, highlighting the Singapore education system and how teachers worldwide can improve their teaching journey.
“Throughout our 57 years of service, teachers have been a constant pillar of support, sharing with us their experiences and driving change in Singapore classrooms. Seeing how important a unified network is for a sustained, successful education system in Singapore, it is with this conviction that MCE strives forward to support teachers and schools worldwide. With the fundamental mission to ignite the joy of learning worldwide, we will continue to refine our solutions alongside our experts and rising technologies to elevate future teaching and learning experiences,” said Lim Soon Jinn, Head of Education, Marshall Cavendish Education.
“Having been with MCE for more than twenty years, I feel fortunate to be in a role where I have reaped as much as I’ve put in it. My time at MCE is more than just a job – I've learned a lot along the way and made lifelong friends. I am proud to be a part of an organisation that contributes to education in its own way – not just within Singapore but globally as well,” said Ms Dorothy Lim, Senior Sales Admin Executive, one of MCE’s longest-serving members of staff.
