Results

Results are confidential and will be released online via our partner’s platform on 2 May, 30 May and 13 June 2026.

All e-certificates will be accessible via the competition platform latest by 19 June 2026.

Awards

Top students will be awarded a Gold / Silver / Bronze e-certificate.

An e-certificate of participation will be awarded to all other students.

Gold and Silver awardees are eligible to participate in the Global Round held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Global Round Awards & Prizes

Ranked by score within each individual grade level.

Global Champion	The highest-scoring student in each grade level globally.	Global Champion Trophy Certificate
Gold Award	The top 20% of participants in each grade (excluding the Global Champion).	Gold/Silver/Bronze Medal Certificate

Top Country Winner

The highest-scoring student within their respective country, regardless of their grade level. The winner will be awarded a Top Country trophy.

Note: Rankings are based on the country where the student is currently enrolled and attending school.

Will I be penalised for a wrong answer?

No. Points will not be deducted for a wrong answer.

Regional Round

What awards will students receive for the Regional Round?

All students will be awarded a Gold / Silver / Bronze e-certificate for the regional round.
An e-certificate of participation will be awarded to all other students.

I have more than one student to register for the regional round. Can I use one email for all of them?

To keep things organised, each student needs their own separate account. Because login details and progress tracking are linked to the email address, you’ll need to use a different email for each registration.

Global Round

When and where will the Global Round be held?

The global round will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 3 – 5 July.

What does the competition entry fee covers?

The one-time competition entry fee entitles the participant to gain access to our SMC and/or SSC competition, training, and related resources. It does not include the participant's personal travel expenses such as flight, accommodation, travel insurance and shopping. All participants are required to make their own travel arrangement for this competition.

Which grade level should I select upon registration?

You should select the same grade level that you participated for in the Regional Round.

If my child is registered for only 1 competition, will he/she need to attend all 3 days of the event?

Students will only need to attend the day(s) of the competition(s) that they registered for and take part in the activities and award ceremony on the third day (5 July).

Do you have a recommended hotel?

We recommend staying at One World Hotel or any hotels near KLCC or KL Sentral area. You can take a Grab ride of 10-25mins to the venue for the competition.

Is an accompanying adult a mandatory requirement for this event?

All participating students are encouraged to travel with adult company. We recommend either a participating school’s teacher or their respective parents to accompany the students. However, it will not be a mandatory requirement.

As an accompanying adult, can I join the event?

Parents and teachers are not allowed to sit in for the training and competition on 3 – 4 Jul 2026. However, we welcome you to join us for our lunch and awards ceremony on 5 Jul 2025.

As an accompanying adult, can I join the guided tour?

Yes, you can join the guided tour on 6 Jul 2025 at a fee of SGD 30 per pax. Simply include the add-on guided tour option during check out.

What are the details for the guided tour around Kuala Lumpur?

Students will embark on a half-day guided tour of Kuala Lumpur's iconic landmarks and museums. The itinerary includes visits to KLCC, Istana Negara, the Craft Museum, and the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum. Round-trip transportation will be arranged from TAR UMT, and the exact meeting point will be announced one week prior to the event..

Can I meet my child during the lunch break or bring them out for lunch?

Lunch is provided for students on all 3 days. Parents are welcome to visit and take their children out for lunch if they wish. However, please ensure that students return 15 minutes prior to the next scheduled activity on the agenda so we can start on time.

How many guests can be present for the awards ceremony?

We welcome 2 guests (excluding participant) to join us for the buffet lunch and ceremony on the last day.

Is the training session or guided tour compulsory?

The training session and guided tour are not compulsory. However, we strongly recommend participating so your child can fully experience the event and benefit from the preparation.

As the competition fee is a fixed package that includes all 3 days of activities and lunch. It will not be pro-rated or refunded for partial attendance. If you choose for your child not to attend either of these activities, please email us at wlna@mceducation.com to let us know so we can adjust our logistics accordingly.

Terms and Conditions

Marshall Cavendish Education is the organiser of the Singapore Science Competition (SSC) 2026.
All information shared to us will follow Marshall Cavendish Education's data protection and privacy statements.
Winners will be informed via email or social media messenger depending on the information given.
Winners will be selected by the Organiser's panel of judges and the decision is final.
All submissions for the competition are at the risk of the Contestant and in the event that there are technical difficulties experienced arising out of the internet or from any associated equipment or internet security is compromised, the Organiser may at its sole and absolute discretion disqualify the entire entry and shall not accept any liability doing so.
The prize is as stated and is non-transferable and not-for-sale. No cash alternatives will be offered. If due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, the Organiser is unable to provide the stated prize or any part thereof, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value, to be determined at the Organisers’ sole discretion.
Late submission will be automatically void.
The registration / competition fee is non-refundable or exchangeable for products or services.
The Organiser reserves the rights to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
